10 July 2012
Τέλος το D&D Virtual Table, έρχεται το Paizo Game Space!

Το D&D Virtual Table, η εφαρμογή που αναπτυσσόταν από την Wizards of the Coast και θα επέτρεπε στους παίχτες να παίζουν Dungeons and Dragons μέσω διαδικτύου, σταμάτησε να αναπτύσσεται λόγω έλλειψης επαρκούς υποστήριξης όπως ο Josh Dillard δήλωσε, μέσω ενός email που έφτασε το βράδυ σε όσους συμμετείχαν στο beta testing.

Αναλυτικά το email:

I wanted to inform you all about an important decision that Wizards has made regarding the D&D Virtual Table and Virtual Table Beta. While we appreciate the enthusiasm and participation in the Beta phase, we were unable to generate enough support for the tool to launch a full version to the public. Effective July 30, 2012 the D&D Virtual Table Beta will be coming to an end and the VT will be closed.

Over the next three weeks, we encourage you to wrap up your existing campaigns and make sure to gather contact information from your online group members so that you can stay in touch if you like. We realize that because all data generated in the tool is in a proprietary format usable only by the Virtual Table, it is not possible to export your campaigns for use in another tool. You can, however, take screenshots of any notes, maps or adventures that you would like to hang on to or use in your home games.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the VT Beta and look forward to continuing to support D&D game play through our D&D Insider digital tools and D&D Next.

H Wizards of the Coast

Selecting a game to join. Some people are already in there waiting.

pvt 1

The virtual table showing the beginning of the first combat for Rise of the Runelords, the Swallowtail Festival. There's a dragon for some reason. And it's kind of big.

pvt 2

Zooming in allll the way. See that fruit? No, that fruit. The apple. The green one. I attack that one.

pvt 3

Fog of war on the Country Inn flip-mat, as players see it.

pvt 4

Fog of war on the Country Inn flip-mat, as the GM sees it. That dragon sure gets around. It's currently hidden from the players.

pvt 5

The players tab. Who's in, who's not here, who's just visiting and who's controlling what. Click the "+" next to Vic to add him as a player.

pvt 6

The tokens tab. Basically everything that's on the map that isn't map. Tokens can be organized into groups.

pvt 7

The groups tab. The Swallowtail Festival combat runs in two parts, and the goblin pyros have yet to be revealed to the players. The fog control doesn't belong on this tab.

Rolling for initiative. The fire skeleton has a ridiculous initiative, so we're editing that before re-rolling.

pvt 8

Combat! Clicking the checkerboard icon brings up a list of dice rolls. Here we're modifying Cosmo the Yeti's attack roll because I think Cosmo might have been fudging a little.
